Merry Christmas everyone! I know I am late in my greetings.. well that's because I spent Christmas eve and Christmas day at the hospital with my husband and my youngest daughter Cheska. She got a viral infection. A day after Christmas, my eldest - Nicole, was also rushed to the hospital because she was already having chills. Turns out she also has the same viral infection. So now it's like a family vacation in the hospital with two sick kids sharing the same room with their Mommy and Daddy.
But we are still very thankful. We are thankful that the children are getting better; thankful that God has provided us with the means to bring my children to a good hospital and be attended to by the best doctors; thankful that even if the viral infection would cause high grade fever and a roller coaster ride of up and down body temperature, their temp also goes down to the normal temperature and allows our kids to have comfortable bonding moments with us; thankful that despite the circumsstances, he made sure that we will still be together as a family during the holiday season; thankful that our kids have grandparents who visit them everyday and help out in sending in the supplies that we need or forgot back home - like Nicole's kitty cat, and Cheska's Sponge Bob:)
I am posting this at the hospital, while trying desperately to stay up till 4 a.m. so I can monitor Cheska's temperature. She has been taken off the round the clock paracetamol but I just want to make sure to check her temperature every hour until 4 a.m. which is the schedule of the nurse's next visit.
So from our happy family (currently staying at the hospital) to yours... MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!
