Hi everyone! Welcome to the 1st stop for the Webster's Pages Meet the Design Team blog hop! I have been with Webster's for a while now and have always loved designing with their products. I am extremely happy that I get to continue designing with Webster's AND that I was given the huge honor to lead this year's design team. I can't wait to introduce to you all this amazing team. As you hop along each blog, you will learn a little bit more about these talented ladies and you will get a peek at their incredible creativity as you see some of their favorite Webster's pages as well as some of their project submissions for the design team application. Yup, you will see just why they made it to the team.
Each designer was asked to share something about their creative process. Let me start with mine...
1. I can say my style of scrapbooking is free, playful, and romantic. I almost always have some type of fabric or vintage themed element in my pages. I also like to experiment with a lot of art mediums. I am in between traditional and artsy. You can say I keep my designs mainstream but with a bit of art mediums used here and there.
2. I am an ink and paint kind of scrapper. I almost always start on a clean sheet of white cardstock, but always end up misting, inking, stamping...
3. If I can only get two Webster's Pages products for a project I would choose their papers and their trims!
4. I find inspiration in everyday moments. A favorite picture or a story I want to remember always sparks that desire to create.
5. I scrap in my bedroom... My white space, my white corner in my bedroom (that's why my blog is called "My White Space" cause I scrap in corner of my room with white walls and furnishings. This also represents my design style which always incorporates the use of white space). If you were to come in my scrap room now you will find a huge stack of layouts that desperately needs to be dated and placed inside albums.
6. My most loved technique right now is the use of gel mediums.
I am happy to share with you now three pages I made for the CHA (Craft and Hobby Show) Winter 2011 Show. Collection featured here is the new "Trendsetter"
A big leap from Webster's usual designs don't you think? Very different and very beautiful! I just love it!
