Oh my goodness, it's been months since my last post! I do have good reason for being lost in between that time and now - we moved to our new place and I shifted from being a scrapbooker to an interior designer! LOL! It was an amazing experience, looking at a blank room was like looking at a blank paper. I always create my pages using white background so I kinda took it from there. It was fun, time consuming, but we saved heaps by doing it on our own... Will post pics soon.
Ok so now, we are all settled happily here and now I'd like to share pictures of the layouts I created for a Webster's Mixed Media background layout class.
If you want to create something like this, the following steps might be of some help to you.
Apply embossing ink to rubber stamp and stamp on the paper. Immediately sprinkle distress embossing powder and heat set.
Take some luminarte silk paints (yellow first) with a soft flat paintbrush and transfer to your craft mat. Spritz some water on the paint and mix. Apply one color at a time. Allow the colors to mix and blend. No need to wait for the paint to dry before adding the next color. The glazes work well even when blended together unlike other acrylic paints.
Add hand-cut papers and adhere with foam tape for dimension. Add metal charms, buttons, flowers, etc.
That's it! Pretty easy:)
Will be back in a few days to share the other layouts plus some tips.
Thanks for checking on me again! HUGS!
