Prima Innoscence Flowers....

I love the Innoscence Line of Prima Flowers. These are beautiful white paper flowers with pearls in the center. What I love about it is that you can alter and color it any way you want! It takes glimmer mists and other art mediums so beautifully.

To create these flowers, mist several flowers with different colors of shimmer mists (i.e. tattered angels). Let It Dry. Next, rub the top portion of the flower with embossing ink, then immediately dip it in embossing powder. Set with a heat gun. You can also cover the other flowers entirely with embossing powder. Use different colors of powders for a colorful bunch of flowers like these. For some flowers, you can also try adding some distress stickles right on the center for a different look.

 

If you have some left over patterned paper which you really love, you can turn it into at tag. I used a piece of Prima paper and distressed the edges with Ranger Distress Ink. Then I simply added stickers and word quotes for an instant embellishment.

Going Bright!

Hi everyone! I just came back from teaching a class in our Local Scrapbook Store here (Visual Creations) and I was thinking of how happy this craft makes me. To be around really nice, fun, and creative people is such a treat. I'll be posting pics from the class soon. Thanks to everyone who attended!!

I'd like to share some bright layouts I recently made. This one I made last night. The pictures were not so great cause it was taken in a crowded toy store last December 25. But I love the story behind it so I still made a layout for it. I used a bunch of Sassafras Lass papers and embellishments that I had lying around in my stash.

 

The next two layouts were created with a group of friends a week ago when my good friend Ria invited us over to create pages with her extra Nikki Sivils stuff. It was my first time to work with that line and I enjoyed it very much. Thanks Ria! Till next time!:)

And here is Nicole sitting pretty. Loved how the sofa in the picture matched the sofa in the papers.

Webster's Pages and Tattered Angels Feauture

I just love how versatile Webster's Pages products are. At first I thought Seaside Retreat papers would be perfect for beach themed pictures only. But in this layout, I was able to use a portrait of my daughter taken in a studio and the theme of my page is about believing and daring to dream.

I used the Tattered Angels compass screen and glimmer mists and added a glimmer chipboard. I am really enjoying the product swap Webster's had with Tattered Angels. It is so fun to add TA products to Webster's Pages layouts.

 

I have been wanting to scrap this photo of my baby but could not find the perfect papers ... until I got my DT box filled with Seaside Retreat papers! Don't you just love the colors and prints of this paper? I made this layout with just one sheet of Seaside Retreat, a cut-out from the 8x8 paper (hot air ballon) and WP letter stickers. With the help of Tattered Angels screens and mists, you can easily finish a page like this. Of course, WP pages look so great with an addition of gorgeous Prima flowers.

Pencil Lines Sketch 175

Pencil Lines Sketch 175 is up and we are joined by the design team members of Scrapbook Nook kit club for this week. Please visit the Pencil Lines site to see the rest of the work of the team.

For my layout I used Basic Grey papers and chipboard as well as an overlay. Stamps are by Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous and Inkadinkadoo. The label die-cut are actually two pieces of paper from the Mamking Memories Journaling notebook. Stickers from October Afternoon and Cloud 9.

Webster's Pages Life's Portrait

I used the new Life's Portrait paper and the Die Cut sheet. I just love the colors and patterns in this line. This is a picture of me and my daughter Nicole on our way to have some cake and coffee with friends. Photo taken by my good friend and scrapper Liza Bermudez.

Ranger Feature

Prima is doing a Ranger feature and the DT was asked to turn in projects or pages that features Rangers and Tim Holtz Products. I love Ranger products and am totally addicted to Tim Holtz stamps and metal embellishments.

Here is a Valentine's Keepsake Jar that I created using Gold and Salmon Alcohol Inks. I stamped the butterfly image from Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous and heat embossed it with Ranger Gold embossing powder. The metal charm and pin are both from Tim Holtz.

The lace and flowers are from Prima.

The Pencil Lines sketch 173 is up and it was so fun to work with October Afternoon and Maya Road Products for this layout. Maya Road sent the OA DT some beautiful goodies. I used some Maya Road Sheer labels here.

I love these photos of Nicole... my little wonder girl! Don't let the smile fool you. She inherited this costume from her older cousin and I so wanted to see her in it. Well, she said she hated the costume but she did strike a few poses for me just cause she loved me. Sweet girl.

Here is one layout I recently created..

I love how a plain cardstock can be transformed with just a few mists from Tattered Angels. I used a TA mask here to create the frame. I also traced the same mask on a piece of paper and cut it out so I can make use of it as a solid mask. I placed this over the misted cardstock and stamped on the edges.

 

The letters and frame were misted with two colors and then glazed with glitter glue.

 

Webster's Pages GDT Lift for Feb

is inspired by our guest designer for February - Lynn Yen! I love Lynn's style and personality. Such a sweet sweet person too. Amazingly talented girl. Please visit the Inspire Me Site to see her creations and the lifts of the design team. Here is my layout... 

I was inspired by the nature theme she has going in a lot of her layouts. Like Lynn, I also love paint and so I took the chance to use some of my favorite paints here.

 

A layout I made for my friend Arlene. Used Winter's Wings paper together with Nature's Storybook stickers and papers. Also used the new Prima flowers and Say It In Pearls.

 

Scrap In Japan

has invited me to be their guest designer for the month of February. I designed a sketch (yikes a first for me!!) and a layout for them. Scrappers are invited to create a layout based on the sketch and to send it to [email protected]. All layouts will be uploaded in Slide.com and a winner will be chosen. Winners will receive a RAK courtesy of Scrap In Japan and their sponsors.
