Webster's Pages New Lines!

Creative Workshop for Paperland Indonesia

Looking forward to seeing all the crafty people in Surabaya, Indonesia! The first project we will be doing is so beautiful! My draw literally dropped when I saw what PaperLand sent me. It's a shabby chic three drawer frame. hmmmm.... imagine the possibilities!! It was pure joy altering it. Will post sneaks soon!

I taught at PaperLand last year as well and I had so much fun with the ladies there.  Oh and yes, the food was sooooo good! I could not forget the "gadu gadu" :)

Webster's Pages 2012 DT!

Webster's Pages announced the new Design Team for 2012 and from this post you can see that there are many exciting things in store for us who love Webster's Pages!

One of the many things we can look forward to this year is the addition of the new Clean and Simple DT. This will be a whole new adventure for all of us.

We also have another wonderful lady joining the classic team.. Janine!!  

Wait till you see the new collections from Webster's! You will fall in love with all of them!

In the meantime, we have been playing with the Sunday Picnic line, and here is the 2nd layout I created with this brand new line...

I also used a Dusty Attic chipboard here.

And embossed with WOW embossing powders and stamps (script and butterfly).. Those chunky gold pieces are gold mica flakes.

So I was trying to go for the clean and simple look (because of the new clean and simple release of Webster's Pages)... I think I achieved linear... but not so clean and simple? Could not resist a bit of layering, painting, and misting...oh well.. Happy Sunday everyone!

Coloring Hambly overlays....

I recently shared a tutorial on coloring overlays at the Hambly Blog. Here is the layout I made with the beautiful Hambly products. This is a layout featuring a photo of myself with my Friday club! Yep, I now spend Friday nights with a bunch of funny and creative ladies... scrapping the night away! :)

I used copic markers to color and shade the overlays.

Berry Bleu Challenge and Give-away...

Hi everyone! We have a new challenge: January theme is Vintage,(Shabby), or French Cottage style altered project.

January Challenge is to alter anything. You can do a LO, card, tag, box, or anything your heart desires that you think is alterable. You can add any elements you wish and use any media to alter your project. 

Here is an example of how these tags work wonders in my life. I have been soooo busy lately but when there is a need to create something quick and easy, all I need to do is grab a Berry Bleu Tag. This used to be a flat box for organizing my vintage charms, but with the addition of this tag, it's now so pretty and beautiful in itself...

This challenge is open to anyone around the world and you can submit as many projects as you wish. Projects must be downloaded by February 5th on the blog's sidebar using Linky Tool. Papers, chipboards, and powders..

Happy new year everyone! A brand new year... a brand new set of goals... and a brand new opportunity to live a better life, to pursue one's dreams, to maybe let go of some and set new ones.

This year I hope to be able to go back to the very reason why I have kept myself in this industry - and that is because I enjoyed the process. But as I have gone through the demands of creating for shows, publications, design teams, I realized that I have been creating more for the need to "get the job done" rather than to satisfy the need to create and to record memories. I have always been in-love with mixed media and make it a point to include techniques in my classes. I hope I can do more of that too in my daily pages and projects.

I am still part of manufacturer teams that I admire and respect but this time I took one step further and will be creating with a couple of mixed media companies also - laser chipboard pieces and embossing powders. I think that will be a pretty fun mix right? 

So to start off the new year of creating for me, my very first layout for 2012 was created with the brand new collection from BasicGrey - "Kissing Booth"! When I first saw the preview of this line, I have been continually asking when we will be able to get our hands on it. Let me show you why...

BasicGrey comes up with some of the most vibrant vintage patterns and colors and then complements it with stunning embellishments like these chipboard pieces...

then... to make it more my own, I added this lamp post chipboard piece from Dusty Attic, texturized with gesso, paint and WOW embossing powder in "Sierra Sunset".

on this part I used Ranger paint with WOW Gummybear Green powder.

A Fond Farewell...

A fond farewell...

It has been a great year for me at Scrappin Studio and I would like to thank Jaime for the great adventure! Here's to a warm welcome to the new team and a fond farewell to my 2011 team.
