Hi everyone! Some of you may already know that we have moved to our own place recently. We love it here so much and we cherish this blessing. It is our home and the kids love it here too. Every time I walk through the front door, I am always reminded of how our Lord has blessed us tremendously. It is just a small townhouse in the city but it is near the school where my girls go so it is really convenient. Plus it's near our favorite place for shopping, dining and watching movies - Greenhills.. so it's perfect for us.
Aside from the common areas which are the kitchen, receiving room, dining room - there are four rooms in our house, a master's bedroom (where the girls also sleep in still!), a guest room, a play room, and ofcourse... my very own work area! Yay!! It also serves as an office for my husband, and an art room for my girls. My youngest one also sleeps here or watches T.V. here while I work. Here are some pics...
This red slip can be taken off to reveal a sofa bed. My youngest sleeps or rests here while I work during the day.
This is where most of my coloring materials are stored...
The white cubes are actually a nesting die organizer for Quickutz but it perfectly fits my distress inks, glazes, mediums etc...
...some of my frequently used mixed media materials... other bulky items like gesso, mediums etc are on the upper wall shelves.
copic pens, washi tapes, colored pencils...
wooden stamps...
enough space for myself, my husband, and my two girls who love art as well. The plastic containers holds the activity books and coloring books of my girls. Oh and underneath the table is an amplifier for my husband's guitar... yes he plays the guitar here too! :)
T.V. for my girls and metal shelves for more storage. My husband does some of his paper work here so he gets a metal shelf too. How many you ask?? Hmmm should I answer that?! Ok, he got one! LOL! That's all he needed according to him!:)
The metal cabinets from Ikea serves as storage for my rubber stamps, templates, punchers, other tools.
...so there it is, the one place where I spend most of my day in... my happy place! Our happy place! It's not a craft room anymore but more like a family room and it's perfect for us!
Thanks for your visit! I hope some of you were able to get some inspiration on how to convert a space in your house that will serve as a common hobby/ craft/ work area for the whole family.
