Hi everyone! I'm back here at my blog after a loooong vacation! I thought of sharing something fun with you today. I have been designing for Webster's Pages for a long time now and it's pretty much a huge part of my life. I work with their products during the day when I'm at my work area, and I even work with it when I'm in the car or the coffee shop while waiting for my little girl to get out of pre-school. I would take sheets of paper and cut out patterns with my trusty old pair of scissors, and before I know it, it's time to fetch my little girl. I would put all of these cut-out patterns in a clear envelope, not even bothering to separte the cut-outs by collection. When I need to make something quickly, I just grab my bag of cut-out patterns and get to work. Let me show you the result of an hour's work on a layout with five, yes FIVE different collections from Webster's Pages.... can you tell the different lines used here?
Here are the cut-outs... check if you guessed it right...
1. Large flowers and doilies: "New Year New You" collection
2. Circle with the word "Sweet" and three small flowers: "Family Traditions"
3. Mediums Red and Blue flowers and word banners: "Citrus Twist"
4. Cameras and Hexagon: "Our Travels"
5. Green strip with roses and hot air balloons: "Postcards In Paris 2"
Did you get it right? It's amazing to see that you can actually mix very different lines in one layout. You should try it! Lot's of fun and you never know what you will end up with!
I also used these amazing products from Shimmerz!
Thanks for your visit guys! Have fun creating!! Take out those photos... old ones, new ones, the ones with good composition and lighting, and even the ones that did not turn out so well. What's important is the memories you document and the pure fun in the creative process!
Hugs!!!
